The program I have been using is Rebuild Your Vision.
What I think is really good about the Rebuild Your Vision program is that it is setup to be done on just 25 minutes per day. And it is preprogramed for you. You know exactly what you need to do in that 25 minutes.
In contrast, I had read another book not too long ago loaded with different eye exercises and the claim was that you could do it on just 15 minutes per day. The problem was that the author gave you lots of eye exercises but no structured program. My enthusiasm waned pretty quickly because I wasn’t sure which exercises were the best and which I should be using.
That problem is solved with Rebuild Your Vision. I don’t have to worry about which exercises are best because the program is laid out. I just need to focus in on doing the actual exercises that are preprogrammed for just 25 minutes a day.
At first, it took me a several days to get oriented. But now that I have been doing it consistently for a shore period, I feel motivated towards doing my 25 minutes a day. Sometimes I do more than that by periodically doing an exercise or relaxation technique during the day. These periods are a nice break for my eyes. And one of the definite benefits to the program is that I’m experiencing much less strain on my eyes.
Another cool idea of the program is the 10-10-10 rule and you will something similar to this in other vision improvement books and programs. The idea is that you will look up from whatever near work you are doing every 10 minutes for a period of 10 seconds and you will be looking at an object at least 10 feet away. This gives your eyes a consistent rest from near work activity. It’s a nice break.
Rebuild your Vision has vision defense software included for your computer. To be honest, I haven’t even tried the included software. I’m just focused on doing the exercises and looking forward to my vision getting better. And I’m starting to see subjective results now.
When you get the course, it comes with all the tools that you need included. There are 5 laminated items that come with the course. One is an eye chart. The eye chart isn’t just for testing your vision. It is used as part of your vision improvement exercises.
There is also a laminated paper for the exercises under the ‘3 cups’ category. There is an example of this exercise currently on the Rebuild Your Vision Website
In addition, there is another smaller laminated ‘chart’ that you hold in your hand for the focusing exercise # 5. It is a very powerful and useful exercise – as are all the other exercises too.
Finally, there are two laminated strips with numbers on both sides (different sizes) for an exercise called ‘pinball’. This is a fun exercise that is designed to sharpen your vision as well.
Next there is a string with knots in it for another focusing exercise called ‘stringbeads’. There is also an eye patch which is used in conjuction with the ‘stringbeads exercise’ and the focusing exercise.
Finally, there is the Rebuild You Vision book itself. It is 87 pages long and includes details on how to do all the exercises.
But best of all, as noted above, it has several programs designed with several ‘levels’ of exercises each for your particular eye problem. There are programs for near-sighted people as well as far sighted people. The program is said to help those with astigmatism as well. There is also a third program for dealing with both nearsightedness and farsightedness at the same time. People who wear trifocal lenses would probably want to do this one.
The manual also includes information on how the eyes work and why this program should work. It also contains information about common eye ailments and visual problems. The manual also contains the author’s own story about how he became involved in vision improvement exercises and how it helped him pass his military vision test necessary to become a military combat pilot.
