Eye Exercise and Vision Improvement Journal – Day 25.

I’m actually writing this for last night as I haven’t actually done the exercise for today (day 26) yet.

Last night was good, but I learned a bit of a lesson. I went out with my contacts last night. I should have braved not using them. (only when safe to do so of course)

I found that as I sat and conversed with others, I was over corrected at the near point. This may have created stress and tension in my eyes, thereby decreasing visual acuity. After all, why do the eyes need to work when they have the crutch of lenses on them to do all that work for them? No need. They can only weaken that way.

I’m going to make an even greater effort to go without correction (only when safe – of course). The dependency on lenses must be reduced or removed for real improvement to occur. Do not attempt this on your own. Your eye doctor is likely to heartily disagree with me – and you should only follow your doctor’s advice, not mine.

Anyway, I will continue to press on, I’m encouraged by the results I have obtained so far. And I will continue to work towards improving my vision.

Eye Exercises and Vision Improvement Journal – Day 24

February 6, 2008 by Dave

Improve Your Vision Naturally Without Glasses, Contacts, or Surgery! Click Here To Find Out More...
Day 24: I did the exercises in the morning today. I assume that commitment is a big part of success. So I’m staying committed to getting these exercises done every day.

I had another ‘clear flash’ today, early on, before doing the exercises. I love when that happens. For those who aren’t familiar: a clear flash is a moment or several moments when your vision becomes clearer and sharper. The effect typically does not last very long but it is encouraging.

I also noticed something else that was interesting. In the past, I’ve noticed ‘sore points’ around my eyes. These are places that when you touch are a little tender. One of these points is in the under the ridge right above my eyes – close to the bridge of the nose.

I inadvertently touched those spots this morning when I first got up and the customary feeling of tenderness was not there at all. I don’t know how that correlates with vision improvement, or if it does. But, I imagine that it has something to do with all the efforts I’ve been putting forth.

It’s only day 24, but I do feel like something is happening. I’d read before that with vision improvement, vision varies, sometimes it is better and sometimes not.

I’ve written in the past that I’ve been experiencing longer times of clear vision when using my reduced prescription contact lenses. These periods seem to be getting longer. However, at some point after hours of wearing them, vision often becomes less sharp.

Speaking of commitment, I actually started falling asleep during one of the focusing exercises and I was so sleepy by the time I got to the relaxation technique that I actually dozed off and went 3 times as long as called for in the manual.

I’m also using my own exercise that I made up and wrote about on Day 23. But the main thrust is during the programmed exercise.

I’m sticking without for at least 30 days and I’ll probably go longer. If I can get to 20/20 without glasses or contacts, I’ll be absolutely delighted. We’ll see what happens.

Eye Exercise Vision Improvement Journal – Day 23

February 5, 2008 by Dave

Well, I think I pushed last night’s exercise session to this morning.

But I also think there is some improvement.

I’ve even come up with my own exercise. Instead of enacting the 10-10-10 rule in the manual, I started doing something a little different:

I close the left eye and look from an object about 1 to 2 feet away to a much more distant object 10 times. Close the right eye and repeat. Then open both eyes and repeat. I’ve found this to be very relaxing to my eyes.

But, really it is the course itself that is the bulk of my vision improvement efforts. One of the greatest benefits is having a set program that you follow. That keeps me committed to at least 25 minutes of exercise per day. And I think this commitment is the key to success.

I had a nice moment of visual clarity at one point yesterday. It lasted for just a few moments. It could be a foreshadowing of things to come.

Vision Improvement Exercises – Day 22.

February 4, 2008 by Dave

I’m actually writing this for yesterday. I’ll do day 23 tonight.

Things are looking better, literally. While wearing my reduced prescription contacts last night, I noticed that I was seeing more clearly, further down the chart.

During the day, while at work, I’m using a reduced prescription pair of glasses. I’ve had these glasses for some time.

It’s exciting to start seeing results in just over 20 days. I’m looking forward to ‘see’ what happens next.

I believe there are two more levels of the exercises to go through.

I’m also learning to use some of the exercises for a few moments during the day to create some relaxation for my eyes. I think this added effort is very helpful.

Ok, I’ll write more after I do the exercises this evening some time.

You can also read more about the program I’m using.

Vision Improvement Exercises – Day 21

February 3, 2008 by Dave

Well, This is interesting. Last night I went out again with my contacts and I’ve had the same effect as described previously. I saw much clearer again. And the twist this time is that the effect of seeing more clearly and the bright vibrant colors that went with it lasted much longer than previously.

Again, today I went out without contacts or glasses and noticed that although my vision wasn’t clear at all, it was BETTER than previously going out without them. This is an encouraging sign.

In addition, I had a moment of clear vision. This is a phenomenon that you read about in books about vision improvement. There are moments when things become clear. I’m looking forward to further improvement too.

I’ll write more tomorrow

And if you want to learn more about the program I’m using: I’ve written a bit more about it here.

Eye Exercises – Day 20

February 2, 2008 by Dave

Today, I was able to do much better in switching back and forth between the two images in the ‘3 cups’ exercise.

It was encouraging to be able to make either image appear at will.

A strange phenomenon occurred when I was driving tonight. I had my reduced prescription contacts in and there would be one minute when I was seeing very clearly and colors seemed bright and then there would be a minute or two when things seems just slightly blurry again.

This situation switched back and forth for about a 30 minute period.

I thought this was very interesting and have no idea what caused it.

Here is the vision program I’m using.

Eye Exercise and Vision Improvement Journal – Day 19

January 31, 2008 by Dave

Today saw the move to a new set of exercises. I also added a few motifications of my own.

I used a distant object outside of the window for the focusing exercise today.

I also made a discovery. On the ‘Three Cups” exercise, I was doing the level 2 and 3 wrong. I had them exactly reversed which is kind of strange. It should be easier for the eyes to do them the other way around.

But now that I have discovered this problem, it is easy to fix it, and it also means that I’m actually doing the exercise correctly, or at least closer to correct, now.

It’s been a good day. I went to the store earlier without wearing contact or glasses and it seemed like my eyes wanted to drink up everything. There was no strain, even when looking at distant objects that appeared blurry.

Seems like something is changing. I’ll write again tomorrow

I’ll keep doing these exercises for a while.

Vision Improvement Eye Exercise Journal Day 18

January 30, 2008 by Dave

Good NEWS. I’m encouraged that things may be getting better. I had occasion to slip in my reduced prescription contacts this morning (for a brief period of time) and I do believe I’m see pretty clearly out of them now.

I took them out after about 1 hour of use and did the exercises before leaving for the day. The exercises felt good today. I’m typing this without my glasses or contacts currently.

This is all good NEWS, but we need to see what the actual numbers are at some point and that might still be a while. I’m not planning on visiting the eye doctor any time soon.

However, my subjective experience is saying good things right now about this program. I’m definitely going to keep doing it for at least 30 and possibly 60 days or longer. I’ll decide that later. Subjectively something is happening. But I don’t want to get real enthusiastic until I have some concrete tests to go by.

Read about the program I’m using

Ok, I’ll write more tomorrow.

Vision Improvement Day 17

January 30, 2008 by Dave

Yesterday was Day 17.

I’ve been working on not using my glasses or contacts unless necessary and I believe it is helping.

The eye exercises are keeping me from generating undue stress or strain on my eyes.

Of the two relaxation exercises, I believe the one that uses light is the better of the two for me personally. My eyes generally feel good afterwards.

The 3 cups exercise (level 2b) is where I’m stuck. I figured out that I wasn’t doing the exercise properly and have begun to try to do so. However, this makes the exercise a little more complicated – as it is like I skipped the last training step. I’m confident that I’ll catch up quickly though.

All in all, I’d say things are going well and I’m looking forward to one day seeing measurable improvement. But, I’m not saying that vision improvement works. Although subjectively I think I am seeing improvement. We won’t know for sure until my acuity is measured and that next appointment is quite far out. I’ll write more later.

Read more about the program I’m testing.

Vision Improvement with Eye Exercises – Day 16

January 27, 2008 by Dave

Good News. If you go back and look on Day 14, you will notice that I had a drop in visual acuity.

On Day 15, I hypothesized the source of the problem.

Friday, Saturday and most of today I went without my contacts to the maximum extent possible and simply used a pair of glasses very sparingly – even at work.

Tonight, (Sunday) I had occasion to go out and I put my contacts in. This was a good test because if I was still having acuity problems, it would show up at night for sure.

Instead, while driving down the highway, I noticed how clear my vision was again. Colors were bright and vibrant.

This also demonstrates that the program information is correct. If you want to improve your vision and are doing exercises, you cannot tax your eyes with the burden and stress of corrective lenses. It’s fine for me, but you should not try going without your glasses or contacts for extended periods without the express written permission of your doctor!

ah -hem. Anyway, do as I say,not as I do…..

On my exercises tonight: The exercise for focusing using a chart I did a little bit differently. I sat back about 16 feet instead of the 7 I was using before.

On a different exercise, I’m not quite sure I’m doing it right, but I’m sure I will figure it out as time goes on.

Oh, and that visual acuity increase occurred despite the fact that I skipped the exercises completely yesterday.

I’m looking forward to see what happens next. No measured improvement to report because I haven’t been to the doctor and probably won’t be for a while. But subjectively, I think things are going at least ok.

Any improvement is good NEWS.

I’ll write more tomorrow.

Read more about the vision improvement program I’ve been using.
