Gum Disease Solution

Gum Disease Solution – Video – Watch:

Gum Disease Solution

Gum disease is a serious problem.  It afflicts far more people than you might imagine.   Perhaps you or your closest loved one are afflicted and do not yet know it.

Considering that gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss, it is a great idea to find out what your situation is.

Unfortunately,  many dentists do not focus on this area.

If your dentist or hygienist does not regularly (every appointment) measure your periodontal pocket depths and tell you what they are,  you may want to go to a periodonist.

A periodontist is s specialist who focuses on gum health and gum disease.

There is no cure.  There is only control of the problem.

However, the right kind of control can result in your gum tissue being considered healthy.

The risk is always present and one must remain diligent with one’s home care, but you can aim to get ALL of those periodontal pockets to 3 mm and below.

This is the ‘solution’.

Can You Just Kill The Bacteria?

Sure, you can.  But, they come right back.

Our constant exposure to the exterior environment makes this impossible to prevent.

Healthy colonies of bacteria should be the goal then.   Eating yogurt appears to help according to many Japanese researchers.

The  mouth is actually considered part of the ‘alimentary canal’.   The part of your body that is responsible for digesting food, eliminating waste and absorbing nutrients.

As such, it is completely colonized by bacteria.

When plaque forms on the teeth and gums,  it forms a shield against oxygen.  This provides a ‘ripe’ environment for the ‘wrong kind’ of bacteria to grow.  They will grow very fast under such a condition.

When the numbers get too large,  they will begin to secrete acidic toxins that can harm both your teeth and your gum tissue.

The daily disruption of plaque becomes necessary in order to eliminate the environment that gives these little creatures life.

Brushing, dental floss and hydroflossing  are methods that all break up plaque.  Again, daily disruption of plaque is an important part of preventing dental health problems!

The Book How To Stop Gum Disease In 4 Easy Steps

This isn’t really a book, it is more like a report and it discusses the most effective way that seems to produce results for a lot of people, to use your Hydro Floss

What You Should Know About Gum Disease

This is a much larger book available in both paperback and e-book form.   It discusses gum disease in very easy to understand, layman’s terms and decodes all of the dental jargon that has little to no value to non-dental professionals.

It removes the barrier to understanding and makes you a co-creator of your own dental health.   Without this information, it seems to me that, it would be difficult for any lay person to have an understanding of this problem.

This understanding gives you a better chance to protect your dental health, and should help you to prevent expensive and potentially painful dental procedures.   It should also help you to reduce the chances of having to get troublesome and expensive dental implants or dentures.

I wish you the best of luck in your journey (and that of your family) to obtain much better dental health, save a ton of money and have a happier and healthier mouth and body!

Cavities – Natural Remedy?

April 24, 2007 by Dave

salivaQuestion: Is there a way to reverse a cavity without getting it filled?

Answer: Maybe. But, first a disclaimer. If you have or think you have a cavity or any other oral health problem, see your dentist for diagnosis and treatment. (don’t rely on something you read on the Internet – even here at this excellent site)

You may have heard of people talk about the fact that cavities can reverse or go away. You may even have had such an experience yourself.

There may be a point in the progression of a cavity where it becomes impossible to reverse the decay. Yet, there is such a thing as reversible pulpitis. With this condition, the enamel may have softened a bit and the very beginning stages of cavity formation may have commenced.

You can read about reversible pulpitis and you will find two things. Some sources will gloss over the fact that reversible pulpitis can heal with no permanent effects and without professional intervention.

However, you may run into a dentist that believes a RP should be drilled and filled. You may have to deal with such a situation and you will have to decide wether you need a second professional opinion or not.

When I faced such a situation, I changed dentists and six months later, there was no cavity to be found.

The question becomes, is there anything you can do to cause a reversal of the enamel softening and prevent the formation of irreversible pulpitis?. Good Question. The answer is maybe.

Facts first: In 1991 a study was done at a dental school in Israel. You can find and read this study for yourself -(PMID 1762023). In this study, the researchers purposely softened tooth enamel in subjects via exposure to a cola drink.

You may have heard that some colas can eat the paint off your car if left on there too long.

The good scientists conducting the study then verified via Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) That the enamel had been softened and damaged.

Then they had their ‘victim’ eat hard cheese. How much and how often or how long is not mentioned in the study. They found significant hardening of the tooth enamel on a subsequent SEM.

This is a study that has been done at a Medical / Dental University.

I recently had a spot were I was feeling a little pain when I probed the side of a tooth with a metal instrument. I thought it would be cool to test this cheese thing and find out if it would work for me or not. It took several days of chewing on cheese every so often.

I even tried to let my saliva break down the cheese and swish the liquid around the tooth in question. After a while of doing this, the pain on my tooth subsided.

Now, I’m not making any claims here at all. Maybe it wasn’t even a reversible pulpitis. Maybe something else was responsible for making the pain go away. As I mentioned before, if you have or think you have a cavity or any other oral health issue, contact your dentist for diagnosis and treatment.

I guess if you have a sweet tooth, it might be helpful to eat some hard cheese along with your candy?

Similar to this vein of thought, I’ve found some excellent information about Bad Breath, Gum Disease and other health issues in this report.

I simply enjoy writing about this kind of stuff. If you have a question. Ask Dave a Question.

Addicted and Crazy

April 23, 2007 by Dave

heroin3The crazy eyed look was immediately apparent. He walked into the java shop I was relaxing in and began asking people for money. The owner of the shop was about to pounce. I gave the man money and after the guy left, the owner pounced on ME instead.

She said that he was just going to use that money to buy drugs. Judging by the wild look in the man’s eyes, I would have to guess that she was right.

In retrospect, the owner had a very good point. It is a bad idea to help feed an extreme addiction like that.

More recently, there was a lady who didn’t look quite as crazy but she was also not looking ‘right’ either. She had a story that she would whisper to people so that other people could not hear. That way if the person said, “no” to her. She could ask the next person. Everyone would wonder what she was telling other people. Not a bad strategy from a certain point of view.

paraphenaliaShe would whisper that she just ran out of gas and needed a couple of dollars to so she could get some gas to get home with. I didn’t think she was telling the truth judging by the strange whispering behavior. So, I declined to ‘help’ her.

Next week, she gave me the exact same story again. She obviously gave this story to so many people that she couldn’t remember who she had talked to before. And she probably made some good money doing this.

Addicted people often reach a point where they no longer care how their behavior appears to other people. They no longer care whether they appear to be telling the truth or lying and they no longer care if you believe them or not.

All that matters is if you give them money. If you won’t or don’t give them any money they will go ask someone else and they will continue asking until they get what they want.

Some may turn to stealing, even from each other.

The question becomes, do I help these people or not?

Alcohol and drug addictions can devolve people into exhibiting more and more animal like behaviors. The spiral is ever downward UNLESS the addicted person wakes up enough to beginning exerting WILL POWER to begin the ascent towards humanness and normal human behavior again.

Will power and choice are really the only weapons and shields we have to get by in this modern world with. Choice becomes the factor whereby a person’s character is ascertained. What do you choose to do in a tough spot? What do you choose to do or not do that gets you in that spot in the first place?

In the end, whatever the circumstance of our life is, we have to make choices. Those choices become the essence of character building or character destroying activities.

When we leave this world, we only have our character to take with us. Perhaps where we go at that point in time entirely depends on the character we developed or lost while here.

I encourage to think in these terms as often as possible and to do character building rather than character destroying activities.

percodanDon’t give in to the prevailing hedonistic mentality of today’s world. Remember, there are consequences to everything and those consequences might extend living a terrible life here on Earth to continuing a similar existence into the future.

I met a drummer for a couple of very famous rock bands. He said that practicing Falun Gong helped him to defeat drug and alcohol addictions and continue playing drug free in an environment that was very drug and alcohol use promoting.

I think his story is a good one and I wanted to pass it along to you.

You can also make use of my lists of drug rehab centers and alcohol rehab centers.

Gum Disease Update

April 22, 2007 by Dave

Ok, so I was and still am pretty excited about the mouth paste formula (which can be found on page 15 of this book) . In fact, it seemed to be working so well that I thought I could skip using the hydrofloss with the oxygenated compound for a while.

hydroflossThat is the nature of testing things out, you get new results and new interpretations. That is why I test. I like to see what works in the real world for me personally.

Anyway, the mouth paste is excellent. However, I found that it was NOT good to skip using the hydrofloss. After a couple of days of not using as stated on the directions on https://GingivitisKiller.com I found the tiniest, smallest spot of blood upon using the hydrofloss again.

Though the mouth paste appears to be excellent for helping me remove stains and possibly plaque – as well as giving my teeth nice polished smooth surfaces, I realized that I need to continue to use the hydrofloss on a daily basis.

Using the oxygenated compound with the hydrofloss as stated on Gingivitis Killer at least once per day appears to be important to get the results I’m used too.

I will continue to use the mouth paste, because it appears that it may be just abrasive enough to actually remove plaque . I know that is MY impression and my opinion. A lot of people won’t believe it removes plaque. – Especially some with qualified medical opinions.

I appreciate that. I just go by the results I get for myself and I don’t make any claims for anyone else’s use. So that is what I’m reporting today. I’ve used the mouth paste for just over a week now and it is really doing a good job in my opinion.

However, in the end. I find that is still important to continue using the hydrofloss on a daily basis. With these three tools, they hydrofloss, the oxygenated compound and the mouth paste, I feel that they develop a powerful knock out punch when it comes to stopping the progression of gum disease and restoring the gums to a healthier condition.

Superior Weight Loss Results

April 17, 2007 by Dave

health-articlesWhat is it about weight loss that is so terribly difficult? Some may suggest that it is a matter of discipline. While I agree that discipline is an important factor in weight loss, I also believe that if a person really understands the process of weight loss he can develop the discipline.

Sometimes when we understand the whys and wherefores of something it is much easier to do that thing. For example, if you had a plumbing job to do, but knew nothing of plumbing you might procrastinate all day. You might even spend a lot of time reading or trying to understand how to do the job than actually attempting to do it. That would be not be the most efficient use of time and you might not even WANT to do it.

However, if you were a master plumber you might knock that job out quickly before you even bothered to eat breakfast. The difference is in the level of knowledge and experience. With knowledge, motivation is easier to come by. With experience, you have the confidence to actually do the job or the work at hand.

Is it the same principle when it comes to weight loss ? I believe it is very similar. Many people spend hundreds of dollars a month to pay someone to ‘coach’ them to lose weight. This is much like you might pay a plumber to do a job that you have no idea how to do yourself.

However, weight loss is probably not as difficult as plumbing, when you know how. In my opinion there are just a few concepts that one needs to be aware of when attempting to lose weight.

One is how the body treats carbohydrates. I like to call this the liver sand bucket principle. When the sand bucket is full, the sand overlfows past the boundaries of the bucket.

The liver is much the same. It stores glycogen, the short term glucose supply for the body. When the storage is full, the body will make fat out of the excess. When trying to lose weight, it only makes sense that you would want to avoid this situation.

There are several ways to go about this. For example, if you were going to eat six meals in a day. (Yes eating more frequently actually helps with weight loss) You might split those meals up so that they had different focuses. Perhaps four of the meals would focus on leafy green vegetables and protein. And perhaps the other two meals would focus on carbohydrates.

In trying to avoid the sand box overflow, you might eat the meals in this fashion:

Morning: 1 Carbohydrate meal (after exercising is even better)

2 or 3 hours later – 1 protein meal

2 or 3 hours later – 1 primarily protein meal

2 or 3 hours later 1 primarily protein meal

2 or 3 hours later 1 primarily carbohydrate meal.

2 or 3 hours later 1 protein meal

As you can see, you have effectively put a longer period of time between the two carbohydrate meals. This gives the liver some time to use up its glycogen storage so that it has room to store more without ‘overflowing’.

Another method to deal with this is to eat small amounts of carbs at every meal. (not enough to overflow your ‘sandbox’)

You have to be careful not to mix too many carbs and fats, that is weight gain waiting to happen.

Yet, fats are good and it is best to consume them with protein. Fats that contain the essential fatty acids can actually help you to lose weight.

Confused? I hope not. Just think of the liver as a sand bucket of carbohydrates. Don’t let your sand bucket overflow.

Aerobic exercise is used to deplete your sand bucket. When the sand bucket is temporarily depleted the body will switch to burning fat instead. And if you are trying to lose weight, this is exactly what you want.

Consult with your physician before changing your diet or level of exercise. They can evaluate your personal risk factors that may enter into the equation.

If you need the full story on weight loss, take a look at this book. I have a copy and have found it to be one of the most thorough weight loss books on the market that actually contains sound information for long term weight loss.

Mouth Paste Found to Be Helpful

April 16, 2007 by Dave

toothbrushAs I mixed the ingredients together I found myself wondering if this was really going to do anything. The ingredients are fairly common to most households and they are inexpensive and easy to find. I found all of them at WalMart and most drug stores in the United States would probably stock them.

Without any hesitation, because I like to try new things that seem like they might work, I dipped my toothbrush in the paste that I had just made and began to brush. I used this mouth paste not just on my teeth but also on my cheeks, tongue and gums as well.

Brushing should be a gentle activity without bending the bristles so that the very tips actually do the cleaning. After brushing with this special mouth paste, I found that the level of saliva in my mouth increased. This is good for fighting bacteria which are responsible for causing both gum disease and bad breath.

After the second time I brushed with this paste I found that a certain trouble spot in my mouth that tended to accumulate a lot of plaque, due to the crowding of the teeth in that area, felt much smoother when I rubbed my tongue against it. It has been several months since my last professional dental cleaning and the stains and most likely plaque were starting to accumulate. All surfaces of the teeth should feel smooth and polished, sort of like glass when touched with tongue. my trouble spots always feel rough. That is most likely due to plaque / stain accumulation. Plaque can damage both teeth enamel and gum tissue.

dental-healthI found the paste to be useful against the stains as well. I’m very much impressed by that because as I mentioned the only other way to get them off would be from a professional cleaning. But my next appointment is still over 1 month away and that isn’t even the six month mark. Here I am only 3 months after the last professional cleaning and I was already developing heavier stains. That means the plaque was probably accumulating too.

This paste is amazing, not only because of the cost and ease in making it, but because it could get these trouble spots cleaner for me. It doesn’t contain fluoride so I will be sure to use regular toothpaste to make sure that I’m getting some of that in too.

If this paste were something that I concocted on my own I would tell you exactly how to make it. But the truth is I found it in someone else’s book. Though the book was written to help people with bad breath, the author also talks about the effect of his techniques on the health of his gums and coloring of his teeth as well.

I’ve only been using the mouth paste for less than one week as of this writing. Normally, I would test it for at least a couple of weeks before telling others about it. But, I don’t see any downside to my using it and so far it has been very helpful. Frankly, I’m impressed by its simplicity and by what it does.

You can read what the author has to say about his own book here.

If you have or think you might have gum disease, cavities or any other oral health problem, visit your dentist for diagnosis and treatment. This information is not intended to replace any professional services.

How do I GAIN Muscle Mass?

April 12, 2007 by Dave

people-walking

Question: Hi, I work out to build my body but my body is not not getting bigger and I am not gaining weight. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer: Thanks for writing in. I don’t have any specifics about your diet but my guess is that you are probably not getting enough protein.

Many nutritionists tell the average person to get .36 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day. However, that is for an average person that is not working out.

If you are working out and trying to build your muscles up, you need to take in a lot more protein. However, most medical doctors will tell you not to take in a lot of protein.

Yet, many competitive body builders do typically take in far more protein than the .36 grams. Who will you listen too? That is a choice you have to make. You have to find out what works best for your body.

The first step is to see if you are even reaching the basic amount of .36 grams per pound of body weight. I have a suspicion that you may not be achieving even that.

In either case, it would be helpful to drink plenty of good, clean water. Protein processing can be hard on the kidneys, so drink a lot of water to help them. Some body builders drink far more than 1 gallon a day.

There is far more to body building than how much protein you take in. When and how are also important factors along with a myriad of other things.

To learn how to build your body, consider reading this book:

1. Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle [aff]- An excellent book for anyone trying to understand how the body processes what it eats. You can learn how to optimize your diet to shed fat and gain muscle . No hype in this book, just sound nutrition from someone who understands how the body works, knows how to optimize diet and working out to achieve healthy fitness goals and has the results and experience to prove it.

* Consult with your doctor before changing your diet or your level of exercise.
