One of the best ways I’ve found of getting started in the morning is eating fruit. Melons are particularly good on an empty stomach. Watermelon is a juicy, cleansing and energizing way to get going in the morning.
Fruit, on an empty stomach digests rather quickly. This helps avoid a feeling of tiredness, such as the sensations of sluggishness you get after a heavy meal.
I like eating fruit because it helps me to wake up in the morning. No need to wolf down eggs, milk, cheese, bacon and cereal. Such a breakfast can divert blood flow to your stomach instead of your brain where you need it most in the morning.
I’m eating, as you probably guessed, watermelon right now.
If you are used to eating a heavy breakfast, try just eating some melon in the morning and half an hour later, try adding your usual breakfast food. The melon will be digested within about 20 minutes generally and you may feel much more energized.
