Well, I put my contacts in this morning and things actually seem a bit blurry today.
One difference I am noticing is that when I don’t have my contacts in, I am seeing more distinction between objects. It seems like the ‘outline’ of objects is clearer than before.
It’s hard to explain the less than sharp vision this morning though. I could attempt to explain it in two ways:
1. When I woke up this morning, I started playing online chess immediately upon waking. I tend to star at the screen when I do that and that is not good for the eyes. It also causes me to violate the 10-10-10 rule frequently.
2. The other possibility is eye washing. I usually wash my eyes in the morning. But today I couldn’t to it. I ran out of time.
So, those are my excuses.
Oh, on the positive side. I like to do some powerful qigong exercises in the morning. While I was doing them, I happened to open my eyes. And when I did – I was seeing very clearly for a moment. I could make out objects and read things that I can’t normally read.
This moment may have lasted about 30 to 45 seconds or so. Is it due to the eye exercises or to the qigong exercises? Hard to tell. I’ll keep doing both though.
It could have been due to making the eyes wet by having them closed for a while too – I’m just trying to cover the skeptic’s side as well.
Subjectively, I do feel that the eye exercises are helping, despite my ‘set back’ experience this morning. But, even I admit, this is a subjective experience. We really can’t say we are done until the optometrist finds a major acuity improvement!
On the other hand. This is only day 14, so maybe we cannot expect too much.
The program I am using to try and help improve my eyesight.
Warm regards,
Dave
