Be safe and get 20/20 vision

Lasik Eye Surgery for example, the better your vision the better your chance of passing, stay on the safe side :)

It is just a comprehensive eye exam.

The only thing vision surgery can help on, is visual acuity.

You need at least uncorrected vision, better than 20/50 in each eye.

And they must be able to be corrected to 20/20 with glass’s.

Vision req’s for AF pilots can be found here: and here:http://wantscheck.com/PilotSlotResources/MedicalTips/tabid/68/Default.aspx

Before you get corrective surgery, be sure to do your reserach. If you end up going to USAFA, they may pay for PRK surgery. Good luck!
