Weight Loss Begins in the Mind

At some point in human history, it was considered a good thing to be overweight. It meant that you had access to food during times when others didn’t. Being overweight was a sign of affluence.

In today’s modern world, things are bit different. Doesn’t it almost seem like people judge you based on your weight in proportion to your height? Crazy, isn’t it?

Because most people have fairly easy access to food today, the judgment has changed from one of access to one of control. Being overweight seems to be viewed as a lack of control or concern by many people. This view may not be accurate at all.

I want to assure you that there is nothing wrong with having an overweight appearance. Don’t fall victim to modern society’s nonsense value judgments. We are just fine the way we are, thank you very much.

The only time weight should matter to a person is when that person believes himself to be facing an overweight condition. Still, it only matters if he wants to do something about it. That is when it matters, not when some distorted societal standard says so.

Losing weight is not always an easy task. Especially when you don’t have the right information to make it happen. Weight loss is also something that is very feasible, and the more you understand about it, the easier it gets.

In short, knowledge in the weight loss arena is about the same as knowledge in any other area of human awareness. Knowledge is power.
Empowering oneself to lose weight is largely the responsibility of each individual.

Perhaps the worst situation is to have the wish and desire to lose weight and not be able to. This is largely a battle that has to be fought and won in the confines of one’s own mind.

Our thoughts have the power to imprison us or liberate us. Even realizing that is something of a challenge. Failure to recognize truth in that statement means languishing in a prison of our own making.

What could be more cruel to ourselves than to stay chained up when the key is within our very grasp? Refusing to believe that key exists. Because if one did believe it existed under such circumstances, he would surely stretch out a hand to grasp that key and set himself free.

This requires faith. I mean having faith that it is possible to lose weight or possible to obtain any other goal you set your mind to. This is the biggest challenge any of us face, no matter what goal we choose to focus on.

The less we believe reaching a goal is possible, the lazier we get about obtaining that goal. We begin to rationalize. “I doubt this is going to work anyway, so why am I putting so much time into it? There are a thousand other more productive things I could be doing right now.”

This is exactly the time that we must seize control of our own brain. This is also the time that knowledge comes in handy. The more understanding you have about any topic, including weight loss, the easier it becomes to obtain it.

You no longer think that it is so difficult, at the very least, you believe it is possible. The second you reach that moment is when you make a giant leap forward from lack of faith to believing something is possible.

The moral behind all of this is that we all need more knowledge when it comes to whatever goal we seek, including weight loss. Then when we see it may be possible, it is easier to find the motivation to make it happen. Not believing it is possible, in a certain sense, makes it impossible.

Find the knowledge to form the belief that weight loss or any other goal is possible. Then obtainment of the goal may be within reach.

The Idea of Karma and Health

Karma, bad karma for the case of this discussion is something that a lot of people just don’t believe in. It is something that was never taught to us in school. It’s almost an alien concept to many people.

However, western religion also talks about it. In my opinion, karma and sin are the same thing. Whatever religion a person believes in or doesn’t believe in makes no difference, because karma and sin continue to exist anyway.

apple 1 The Idea of Karma and HealthIf the idea of religion bothers you, and I can certainly understand your feeling, consider that there may be a gigantic cosmic justice system and that system is very fair.

If I were to do something bad, for example, shouting at someone with anger, what happens? That person may have felt pain or consternation over my angry words. My feeling is that the ‘cosmic justice system’ automatically detects this and keeps score. In the future, something may happen where that person hurts me in a similar way or maybe I suffer in some other way, thus paying the debt back.

For example, the parking ticket lady came around and gave me a ticket three days in a row. I was very angry, because I felt that it was unfair of her to keep giving me tickets for the same thing, which was an expired registration. I didn’t have time to fix it right away and I felt she should give me at least a few days before writing another ticket. I yelled at her when I saw her again.

We may never have another interaction again as the world is so big and it is hard to run into the same person again, especially a stranger. Maybe I can’t repay this person directly but the karmic debt is still there, so perhaps I will get sick and suffer that way. This is how karma ties into health, in my opinion.

I hate to be sick and I know a lot of other people hate it as well. But a lot of people do get sick and some get very sick. Yet, the human body is this amazing model of biological, physical and chemical wonderment. It has the ability to fight off invading bacteria and viruses and maintain the integrity of the body. Yet, people still get sick.

Think deeply on that. Do you think it is an accident that this happens? Then is it an accident when you are healthy too? I don’t think so. Our lives are so limited and human knowledge is so incomplete. No man dares to claim that he understands everything. (not legitimately so anyway)

Obviously, I didn’t come up with the idea of karma or sin. They have been around a lot longer than I have. Do you think the people in the past didn’t have any grasp of the universe around them? Perhaps they had a better grasp on it than we do today with all of our modern mechanization and machinery.

Could it be that life was actually better in the distant past? How come we have such a short history? None of it makes any sense from our way of thinking of the world. The way that human kind has come to believe things to be might not be so accurate.

Frankly, I believe karma is very real and I think it plays a role in the health of the individual. Most people don’t go beyond the idea of germs, accidents or misfortune. But what if there really is a supreme and logical order to all that we call life? What if there really is a cosmic justice system? What would that mean to you personally?

Not many people are going to stop and think about it, I know. However, if you are one of the fortunate ones that come across this article, and you do think about it, I would suggest reading a book. That book is Zhuan Falun. Read it, enjoy it and learn from it.

The Hydrofloss for Good Dental Health

Inflammation of the gums can lead to receding gums and bone loss. This is most usually caused by a bacterial infection and the toxins they release. Want to know one of the best kept secrets I’ve found for fighting gingivitis or gum disease?

Hydrofloss is a unique device that washes around the neck of the tooth via a ‘jet’ stream of water. In this case, magnetized water. It cleans along the gum line.

hydrofoss.jpg

I’ve personally used the Hydrofloss for over 6 months and the results, for me, have been outstanding. I believe that everyone should have a Hydrofloss and use it as part of their daily health regimen.

What about a water pik? Yes, there are other devices that shoot a high powered stream of water to clean around the gum line. I do not know how they compare to a Hydrofloss. The Hydrofloss uses magnetized water. Some dentists, like mine, are skeptical that the magnetized water makes any difference at all. Hydrofloss sites research to prove the effectiveness of the magnetized water.

Whether it makes a difference or not is irrelevant for me. I’ve found something that works and I’m going to keep using it.

Previous to using the Hydrofloss, my hygienist and dentist felt that I needed a root scaling and planing. They even wanted me to sign a waiver that it wasn’t their fault if I lost my teeth. To be honest, I felt that was some kind of marketing ploy. In fact, I wasn’t even sure that I had a gum problem.

After researching the root scaling and planing, I decided that I needed to find an alternative. I couldn’t imagine that a root scaling and planing was anything more than a temporary fix and one that was going to be quite painful. In addition, it sounded like there was a good chance that this procedure would need to be repeated in the future.

The prospect of such treatment seemed dim to me. I looked further for what I thought might be a more practical solution. I found the Hydrofloss and I’m glad I took a chance and purchased it. I liked it a lot.

After a couple of months of use, I visited my dentist. The hygienist and dentist were no longer seeking to do a root scaling and planing on my gums. Instead I was told to ‘keep it up’. I guess that means the Hydrofloss works! I was told that the tartar build-up was no longer under the gum line.

If I had taken no action the problem may have progressed and gotten worse. I’m glad that I did my homework and found the Hydrofloss.

One of my goals in life is to keep all of my teeth except my wisdom teeth which have been removed. Did you know that the biggest reason for losing teeth is gum disease and not cavities as many people might think. A cavity can be filled and stay in place for decades. The loss of gum tissue is a big problem and that loss of tissue and supporting bone usually comes from bacterial colonies living near or under the gum line.

Burn the Fat – Review

Tom Venuto, a master of weight loss as well as body building has written a book called Burn The Fat, Feed the Muscle. You can see a picture of Tom by clicking on the link at the bottom of this article.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle lays bare the truth about weight loss and muscle gain. He breaks them down to simple building blocks of knowledge – the kind of knowledge that can lead to long term and more permanent results.

Tom shuns fad diets and if you are interested in long term results in your weight loss or muscle building goals, you should too. Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle is an absolute must read if you are truly interested in weight loss. I have the book and have found the knowledge in it to be very sound, very plentiful and most helpful.

In the book, Tom touches on many important subjects that a person interested in long term, more permanent results needs to understand. Here is tiny portion of what Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle contains:

1. Why Fad Dieting Fails – Fad dieting does not include the sounder weight loss principles that a person needs to create long term results. Typically, fad diets cause your metabolism to ultimately slow down counteracting their own initial and short term results down the road.

2. Metabolic individuality – Everyone has heard of the three body types, endomorphs, mesomorphs and ectomorphs, but did you know that different strategies elicit peak results for each body type?

3. Macronutrients – What are the best ratios of fat to protein to carbohydrate intake? Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle tells us.

There are over 17 chapters in Tom’s book, I just picked a view choice topics that people often misunderstand. In fact, I have an older version of Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. The latest edition of the book has even more information than my copy.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle also discusses something that is very important to anyone trying to lose weight or gain muscle – the use of essential fats. These are nutrients that your body cannot live without. The information that Tom shares in this particular section of his book is very helpful when it comes to weight loss and muscle building. I also talk about the importance of essential fats in my own weight loss articles.

There are a couple of things that I don’t like about Tom’s book. Though very thorough, I would caution that it is also very direct. If you are not willing to entertain the possibility that you are responsible for your current condition, you might not like reading about it. I’m serious when I say that Tom pulls no punches. He gets right to the point on every aspect of weight loss and muscle building. Even though he points to the heart of each matter, his book still spans 17 chapters and that’s the earlier edition of his book.

Personally, I appreciate the no nonsense approach, especially when it comes to learning a subject thoroughly. If you believe in fad dieting or short term weight loss, and could care less about the long term, you don’t need this book. This book is really for people that are ready to make a commitment to obtain their weight loss and / or muscle gain goal.

Are you worried about the muscle building aspect? Tom makes it clear that you are not going to get super ripped unless you want to. The principles of weight loss and muscle gain are the gems that his book offers. Those principles will serve you well regardless of whether you wish to merely lose weight and tone the body or become a body builder.

Hydrofloss – My Dentist Told Me NOT to Buy One

My Dentist Told me NOT to get a Hydrofloss.

I was told that I was going to need a ‘root scaling and planing’ by my hygienist and dentist. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. They said I had tarter buildup under the gum line.

They said I had gingivitis and possibly moderate periodontal disease

But let’s get something straight right from the start, I did buy a hydrofloss. And I’m glad I did. Read on to find out why.

hydrofloss[1] Hydrofloss My Dentist Told Me NOT to Buy One

But I always took good care of my teeth, I silently protested to myself.

I did everything I was supposed too. I brushed many more times a day than recommended and I flossed virtually daily.

Then they told me what an ‘under the gum’ cleaning was and what it entailed. They want use an anesthetic to kill the pain and then use a metal instrument to get underneath the gum and scrape the neck of tooth all the way to the root.

I thought to myself, “that cannot be good for my gums”. If anything it seemed to me they would do more damage than good.

Worse – They wanted to get started right away!.

Fortunately, I have enough experience and wisdom to know that it isn’t always wise to do something spur of the moment, especially something like this.

I told them I needed to think it over and do some research.

That turned out to be one of the wiser moments of my life.

I went home and researched the snot out of gum disease and this ‘root scaling and planing’ stuff.

Everything out there seemed to indicate that I needed to get this ‘root scaling and planing’ done and that it was no big deal. But – I was still incredibly skeptical.

So I started asking around. And you know what? I found out that a lot of people are having this treatment done, including my own sister!

She told me that she felt that it made her gums WORSE!. She didn’t seem happy about it at all. Seems like dentists across the nation are pushing this kind of treatment recently. I didn’t like that.

Ok, so this left me with a dilemma – The dentist even told me that if we didn’t do something that I could lose my teeth!

I wasn’t about to let that fly. No Way am I going to lose my teeth.

But I wasn’t going for this ‘root scaling and planing’ stuff either.

I dug deeper in my research. Little by little the truth seemed to emerge.

It is no longer any surprise to me that people get gingivitis and periodontal disease.

It seems that dentistry has known for a while that it is important to wash the neck of the teeth. (the place where the gums visibly meet the teeth. It looks like the neckline of a shirt) But for some reason they don’t tell us that. And for the majority of people, not doing this leads to gum disease.

Busted.

I think it might be a lot like tires that never wear out for the life of the car or a carburetor that get 120 miles to the gallon. We have the technology but creating such products would hurt the bottom line of certain industries.

Shoot, I bet that a lot of dentists don’t even know the truth!

Anyway, I was looking to find out what I could do to save my teeth and restore the health of my gums.

I stumbled across this:

hydrofloss[1] 1 Hydrofloss My Dentist Told Me NOT to Buy OneThey Hydrofloss – Your friend!

Your personal tooth and gum redeemer!

I called my dentist, she told me NOT to get one, that I didn’t need it, and to save my money on a cheaper product.

I’d done enough research to know that I shouldn’t always blindly take the advice of ‘professionals’ in any field.

I didn’t listen. I got the Hydrofloss. I used it. I loved it.

And most importantly of all,

IT GOT RESULTS!

When I went back to my dentist and hygienist six months later they were impressed. It seems they believed I no longer needed the root scaling and planing and that the tarter buildup was NO LONGER below the gum line.

My dentist even said, “keep it up”. Meaning that I should keep taking care of my teeth and gums with the Hydrofloss.

But did my dentist apologize for telling me not to get the Hydrofloss? NOT.

Interestingly enough she didn’t care that she told me not to get one. But if I hadn’t gone ahead and bought the Hydrofloss against her advice, I may not have experienced healthier gums.

But even if you buy or have bought a Hydrofloss, do you know how to use one?

I’ve had my Hydrofloss for a long time now and I’ve learned a lot of tips and tricks on how to use it.

And remember – I was on a mission to SAVE MY TEETH.

So I focused in with laser like intensity on how to use the Hydrofloss to keep my teeth and save my gums!

Don’t get me wrong, the directions that come with Hydrofloss are good, but I don’t think they are as good as what I’ve come up with.

I’ve put a lot of time into learning how to use the Hydrofloss to get the maximum benefits.

And I know what other tools to use in conjunction with the Hydrofloss to get the maximum benefit with the least amount of effort.

I’m putting all of this knowledge into a report that you can have for FREE.

Here is how you get my free report along with your very own Hydrofloss.
