This is a blend of the essential oils of Peppermint, Almond and Spearmint.

I’ve seen peppermint pop up in some other oral care products for gum health too.

The idea is that this blend will help you kill the bacteria that cause gum disease / gingivitis and bad breath.

Background: Gingivitis starts out as a mild inflammation.  Bleeding gums may be evident when you brush or floss at this point.  Gingivitis can move into various stages of gum disease a.k.a periodontal disease.   All three terms, gum disease, periodontal diseases and gingivitis are various stages of the same disease.

Another word for the inflammation of the gum tissue is periodontitis.  This literally means ‘inflammation of the periodontal tissue”.  As you may have surmised by now, periodontal means the flesh that surrounds the tooth.

Swollen gums are another symptom of diseased tissue.  When gingivitis progresses to gum disease, you may start to see receding gums.  This is something to avoid at all costs.  Currently, there is not much that can be done to return the tissue short of surgery.  Therefore it is very important to keep your gums healthy and well.

If things progress to far, you will find the teeth begin to get loose.  Before this happens, you should be under the care of a periodontist.  A good one can help you avoid tooth extraction or help to ‘save’ the tooth – prevent it from falling out! You may or may not even have a toothache.  That is one reason that gum disease is so insidious, it really sneaks up on you.  If you are not on your guard, it can really progress and leaving you wondering, “What happened”?

Periodontics is simply the profession, made up of periodontists who are concerned with the treatment of these periodontal diseases.  Take good care of your teeth now and you may never need a receding gum treatment (surgery).  Read the oradr reviews.

However, I want to warn you that simply using a product that kills bacteria may not be enough to avoid future gum treatments.  You must focus on the mechanical, daily disruption of plaque.

It helped my gums to stop bleeding. But it wasn’t just about bleeding gums which are more or less indicative of gum disease.

You see, for years my gums would bleed while the hygienist was cleaning them. I didn’t know any better. I thought it was normal and I didn’t think much of it. I wasn’t told any different and obviously I wasn’t told what to do about it.

Therefore, the problem got progressively worse. It seemed as if it was sudden, but it actually took years to get to this point. One day, I was told that I needed a root scaling and planing treatment because there was tartar (hardened plaque) under my gums.

You see, a root scaling and planing isn’t like a regular cleaning. They actually numb your gums up and then proceed to scrape below the gums down along the root surface. That sounded like it was going to be excruciating when the anesthetic actually wore off. I just plain didn’t like the sound of that.

To make matters worse, I was told that I had to sign a waiver that stated if I didn’t get this cleaning done, they wouldn’t be responsible if I lost my teeth. At this point, I was a little bewildered. I wondered why there wasn’t any warning of this given to me in the past.

I didn’t like what I was experiencing one bit. I decided to refuse the root scaling and planing treatment and try to figure out if there was something else I could do instead.

I searched and searched and decided that I would try the Hydro Floss.

I use this as part of my gum care regimen which also includes regular brushing and flossing, the use of the hydrofloss, the use of mouthpaste, the use of oxygenated compound and dental picks.

Many people have gingivitis, whether they know it or not.  In fact, some estimates are that about 80% of adults have some form of gum disease.

Gum disease is often referred to as the silent epidemic.  It can cause a person to lose their teeth and now research is showing that it can contribute to heart disease and other illnesses.

I’ve found it to be useful. But be warned, you still need to do regular flossing and brushing to prevent the progression of any form of gum disease. Flossing works, you just may need to do it more often and for longer than you previously thought.

However, western religion also talks about it. In my opinion, karma and sin are the same thing. Whatever religion a person believes in or doesn’t believe in makes no difference, because karma and sin continue to exist anyway.

If the idea of religion bothers you, and I can certainly understand your feeling, consider that there may be a gigantic cosmic justice system and that system is very fair.

If I were to do something bad, for example, shouting at someone with anger, what happens? That person may have felt pain or consternation over my angry words. My feeling is that the ‘cosmic justice system’ automatically detects this and keeps score. In the future, something may happen where that person hurts me in a similar way or maybe I suffer in some other way, thus paying the debt back.

For example, the parking ticket lady came around and gave me a ticket three days in a row. I was very angry, because I felt that it was unfair of her to keep giving me tickets for the same thing, which was an expired registration. I didn’t have time to fix it right away and I felt she should give me at least a few days before writing another ticket. I yelled at her when I saw her again.

We may never have another interaction again as the world is so big and it is hard to run into the same person again, especially a stranger. Maybe I can’t repay this person directly but the karmic debt is still there, so perhaps I will get sick and suffer that way. This is how karma ties into health, in my opinion.

I hate to be sick and I know a lot of other people hate it as well. But a lot of people do get sick and some get very sick. Yet, the human body is this amazing model of biological, physical and chemical wonderment. It has the ability to fight off invading bacteria and viruses and maintain the integrity of the body. Yet, people still get sick.

Think deeply on that. Do you think it is an accident that this happens? Then is it an accident when you are healthy too? I don’t think so. Our lives are so limited and human knowledge is so incomplete. No man dares to claim that he understands everything. (not legitimately so anyway)

Obviously, I didn’t come up with the idea of karma or sin. They have been around a lot longer than I have. Do you think the people in the past didn’t have any grasp of the universe around them? Perhaps they had a better grasp on it than we do today with all of our modern mechanization and machinery.

Could it be that life was actually better in the distant past? How come we have such a short history? None of it makes any sense from our way of thinking of the world. The way that human kind has come to believe things to be might not be so accurate.

Frankly, I believe karma is very real and I think it plays a role in the health of the individual. Most people don’t go beyond the idea of germs, accidents or misfortune. But what if there really is a supreme and logical order to all that we call life? What if there really is a cosmic justice system? What would that mean to you personally?

Not many people are going to stop and think about it, I know. However, if you are one of the fortunate ones that come across this article, and you do think about it, I would suggest reading a book. That book is Zhuan Falun. Read it, enjoy it and learn from it.
