Is meditation really good for the body and mind?

Yes, meditation is excellent for the mind and body in my opinion.

Not just any meditation will do, however.

Just this morning, I was practicing meditation. I could hear the cars go by outside and yet felt very detached from it. I felt very peaceful, serene and there was a sense of GOOD and WHOLESOME energy permeating my body.

I can tell you that this is a priceless state to be in. Your mind gets to take a rest but is conciously aware at the same time.

People run around day after day immersed in various persuits. When does it ever end? Taking a rest from it all can change your perspective.

Understanding how the mind affects the body can help to explain how the state mentioned above could be very good for the health of the body.

Changing the mind requires more than just practicing meditation though. This truth is really important. At the Falun Dafa website mentioned above you can find a book called Zhuan Falun .

Believe me when I say this book is THE most important book in the world today. I know it may seem hard to believe, but there ARE answers in that particular book that you can’t really get anywhere else that I know of.

Yes, it may be a struggle to read and understand it. However, it is a struggle worth taking up. The rewards from consistant effort will exceed what you might think possible.
