Hydrofloss
The hydrofloss is quite possibly one of the best instruments/devices I have ever purchased. After about 1 and 1/2 months of use, I’m convinced that daily use of the hydrofloss has made my gums healthier.

LLLT
Low Level Laser Therapy might be useful for hair loss. Sounds kind of kooky, I know, but one study says it is true. Of course, more investigation needs to be done. Subjective testimonials abound.
I went to a Holistic health fair recently and one lady had a booth on this type of therapy. Her treatment cost $3000 which really isn’t reasonable for the average person. I started looking around and there appears to be cheaper, hand-held alternatives. For example, there is a hair max comb that sells for about $550.
Anyway, do some research on this if it interests you, there is much information out there on LLLT.

Fish as Brain Food
I have recently listened to a Podcast that talked about Omega 3 fats being good for the brain. You can also get your Omega 3 and 6 essential fats from flaxseed oil. I frequently mixed crushed flaxseed with yogurt or a glass of warm milk.
If you had one year to live
NPR did a segment on a guy who found out he had a brain tumor and had about 1 year to live. He kept an audio log until his death. The story is here.

AIDS drugs
- CNN recently reported on a combo of two drugs that, when combined could help PREVENT an HIV infection. The scientists being interviewed stressed that more information is needed. There is a trial in humans being conducted now. They also need to answer if the two drug cocktail will cause drug resistance problems to come up. Only time will tell, I guess.
