I am currently reading an advanced copy of an excellent book entitled: Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye. Dentists need not fear the title though.
This book could spark a revolution in dental care. Instead of spending their time doing fillings, root canals and teeth extraction, dentists would use advanced equipment to determine in advance when teeth are beginning to soften.
Then the dentist would offer alternatives for strengthening the enamel before the would be cavity develops to the point where it would have to be filled.
This model is much better for the patient. And though the dentist would not do as much tooth repair, he or she would probably see more patients who are interested in preventing dental health problems.
This scenario is a win-win situation for the patient and the dentist.
I highly recommend Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye – by Ellie Phillips, DDS. It is not available yet, but should be in early 2010. I love this book already and you will too!
As I mentioned before Kiss Your Dentists Goodbye – has the real potential to start a revolution in dental care and I hope it does, frankly. The current model does not serve the patient’s best interest in my opinion.
Your teeth were meant to be kept whloe for a lifetime. Think about it – nothing else would make sense. This new model of dental care will allow you to keep your natural teeth. Keep your eyes out for this life changing book when it is available in 2010!
