I just bought a Hydro Floss from my dentist. Wish I had investigated on line first…the price was better than what I paid.

Question, where do I direct the water? On the tooth line just below the gum or on the edge of the gum line just above the tooth?

Thank you

Hi Faye,

Many dentists do charge above the minimum manufacturer price of $98.
Sorry that happened to you.

Here are the basic directions for utilizing the Hydro Floss:

Initially the pressure gauge should be set between 4 and 5, with the regular Delivery tip provided with the unit, so as not to cause irritation or discomfort.

Increase pressure gradually as tenderness lessens. The flow of the fluid should be directed 90 degrees to the tooth’s surface from the buccal and lingual [editor added: cheek and tongue side of the teeth] in order to flush the debris and plaque out of the pockets and NOT deeper toward the apex.

Faye, if you have any other questions, please let me know.

The Hydro Floss is available for purchase here.
