Can Gum Disease Lead to Other Diseases?

Question: I have bleeding gums but no pain please could you tell me if this will lead to any other diseases.

Answer: Of course, bleeding gums may very well indicate that you have gum disease. You will need a dentist to confirm that for you.

While there is some debate still, more and more professionals are coming to believe that gum disease can contribute to other diseases such as lung infections, stroke, heart attack, low birth weight and preterm babies. There may be other disease under suspicion too.

Hope that answered it for you!
