(unless you get surgery or a gum graft) what you are trying to do is reduce your periodontal pocket depths to three millimeters and below (as verified by your dental hygienist or periodontist) - generally speaking, most professionals will consider your gums to be healthy at that point. However, lost tissue will not just 'come back' on it's own. But keeping your gums healthy from this point forward may help to prevent further recession. I think the manufacturer has experimented and found the best way to do it. Also, you cannot be sure that the concentrations you mentioned would be correct between different brands of oil. I use 3 tablespoons of peppermint (it has the strongest anti-bacterial action), 1 tablespoon of spearmint and 1 tablespoon of almond. This will fill 3 ORAMD containers and costs less that 5 dollars.
